**1. INTRODUCTION**

This manual aims to describe the occupational health and safety obligations related to services contracted for the BIML Fazenda Mocó site. It serves as a guide for both contractors and subcontractors, with immediate implementation. Additional occupational health and safety requirements may be imposed on contracted companies to control risks not covered in this document.

**2. OBJECTIVE**

Provide parameters for contracted companies and individuals aligned with regulatory Occupational Safety standards, indicating behaviors and documents to be delivered to the contracting party. It aims to identify hazards and risks associated with their activities and clearly outline control measures.

The contracted company must comply with Brazil Iron’s requests, originating from the evaluation of the presented documentation and workplace audits.

**3. DOCUMENTATION FOR PERMANENT SERVICES**

Permanent services refer to contracts exceeding 30 days, whether or not they are service addendums to Brazil Iron. Even if required by labor laws and/or regulations, the request for documents must be specified in the contract or contractual addendum, with delivery deadlines as follows:

1) **Employee Documents – to be delivered up to 2 days before the start of the activity:**

   a. Copy of the employee’s registration form;

   b. Copy of the Work Card (photo/ civil qualification/ contract page);

   c. Copy of ID and CPF and/or regional council document;

   d. Copy of the driver’s license for drivers/equipment operators;

   e. Job Order – NR 1;

   f. Copy of the legal training certificate (if required);

   g. Copy of the delivery of PPE form;

   h. Copy of the valid ASO, according to the function, activity to be performed, and risks indicated in the company’s PCMSO.

2) **Documents of the service provider company – to be delivered at the start of activities:**

   a. Scope of activities with description;

   b. Completion of an APR at the time of activity recognition;

   c. PPRA – Program for the Prevention of Environmental Risks or PGR – Risk Management Program considering the site’s service execution;

   d. PCMSO – Occupational Health Medical Control Program;

   e. PCMAT – in the case of construction work with more than 20 employees, the company must provide the PCMAT;

   f. LTCAT – The company must document with measurements and sampling of the quantity of potentially harmful agents listed in the PPRA that may be harmful to workers.

**4. DOCUMENTATION FOR TEMPORARY SERVICES**

Temporary services are those where the contracted company will provide services for a period less than or equal to 30 days. The company must submit the following documents to Brazil Iron within a maximum of two business days before starting activities:

1) **Employee Documents – to be delivered up to 2 days before the start of the activity:**

   a. Copy of the employee’s registration form;

   b. Copy of the Work Card (photo/ civil qualification/ contract page);

   c. Copy of ID and CPF and/or regional council document;

   d. Copy of the driver’s license for drivers/equipment operators;

   e. Job Order – NR 1;

   f. Copy of the legal training certificate (if required);

   g. Copy of the delivery of PPE form;

The state of emergency can be considered for a period of up to 5 consecutive days, and the contracted company will provide services for a period less than or equal to 10 days. The company must submit the following documents to Brazil Iron within a maximum of 2 business days after starting activities:

1. **Employee Documents – to be delivered at the start of the activity:**

   a. Copy of the employee’s registration form;

   b. Copy of the Work Card (photo/ civil qualification/ contract page);

   c. Copy of ID and CPF and/or regional council document;

   d. Copy of the driver’s license for drivers/equipment operators;

   e. Job Order – NR 1;

   f. Copy of the legal training certificate (if required);

   g. Copy of the delivery of PPE form;

   h. Copy of the valid ASO, according to the function, activity to be performed, and risks indicated in the company’s PCMSO.

1) **To be delivered up to 2 days before the start of the activity:**

   a. Have a contract for autonomous service provision;

   b. Service scope;

   c. Registration with the Social Security Institute;

   d. Autonomous Payment Receipt (RPA);

   e. Proof of payment of INSS;

   f. Copy of the legal training certificate (if required);

   g. Copy of the valid ASO, according to the function;

   h. Copy of ID and CPF and/or regional council document.

**7. DOCUMENTATION FOR TECHNICAL VISITS**

**8. MINIMUM SAFETY STANDARD**

1. Any type of intervention on equipment must only be performed with the proper lockout on electrical parts.

2. Interventions with energized drawers will only be carried out by Brazil Iron electricians or an electrician authorized in writing by Brazil Iron through the contract manager and with adequate protection, ensuring the integrity of the executor, according to NR 10.

3. Services at heights greater than 2m will only be authorized by SESMT:

– Under ideal atmospheric conditions,

5. When lifting and transporting loads with a crane, or performing services with heavy machinery, ensure that the affected area is isolated and signaled.

6. In confined and restricted spaces, compliance with NR 33 – Work in Confined Spaces is mandatory, requiring an Entry and Work Permit (PET).

7. Use a seatbelt in any vehicle, both in the front and rear seats. The use of seatbelts in equipment is also mandatory.

8. When driving a pickup truck or other utility vehicle, transport people only inside the cabin. It is prohibited to transport people in the cargo bed.

9. Respect speed limits of 40 km/h in external and internal areas of Brazil Iron, or the speeds indicated by signage.

**9. BELIEFS AND VALUES**

Every accident can and should be avoided.

If it’s not safe, don’t do it, and don’t allow others to do it.

Safety and health are integral parts of the business.

Continuous reduction of accidents requires the contribution of everyone.

No activity is so important or urgent that justifies its execution without safety.

Safety is a basic employment condition.

**10. EXPECTED CONDUCT OF EMPLOYEES OF CONTRACTORS**

During their stay on Brazil Iron’s property, employees of the Contractor will not engage in dangerous, illegal, and abusive conduct, including:

a) Violating common safety and environmental norms or practices.

b) Threatening a colleague or causing environmental damage.

c) Violating the Minimum Safety Standard of Brazil Iron.

d) Creating or contributing to any unsafe or unhealthy condition.

e) Fighting or instigating fights.

f) Theft, abuse, or deliberate destruction of the company’s property, tools, or equipment.

g) Possession or consumption of alcoholic beverages, intoxicants, or illegal substances in the workplace.

h) Reporting to work under inappropriate conditions, including being under the influence of intoxicating substances or controlled substances, or misuse of any prescription drugs.

i) Possession of firearms or other weapons on Brazil Iron’s premises.

j) Any illegal attitudes or behaviors as specified in legal requirements and other requirements.

k) Inadequate disposal, storage, and identification of waste.

l) Irrational use of natural resources.

m) Hunting, trading, and consuming wildlife.

n) Disregarding speed limits on routes, common areas, and mine excavation.

**11. PERMISSIONS FOR SPECIAL WORK**

Certain works are considered risky by Literature and NR. The listed works require specific medical examinations, qualification for the execution of activities, and the issuance of Special Work Permit – PTE or PTA or PET before starting work. These works include:

a) Work at heights.

b) Work in confined spaces.

c) Hot work.

d) Work with chemicals or flammable products.

e) Lifting of loads.

f) Excavation service.

g) Activities involving non-routine electricity.

h) Non-routine detonations.

i) Work in pressurized pipelines.

j) Work with energized or operating TCs.

Note: The use of the Special Work Permit form can only be carried out upon verification and authorization by Brazil Iron’s SESMT.

**12. AUTHORIZATION FOR VEHICLE DRIVING**

Brazil Iron will require integration and training (Presentation of the Traffic Plan) with all professionals authorized to drive vehicles from contracted companies or undergo a practical test with Brazil Iron’s SESMT or designated personnel. Only those authorized by the company in writing and released by SESMT may drive vehicles in the company. The contracted company must request the authorization form from Brazil Iron’s SESMT on the first business day. Authorization will only be issued by Brazil Iron’s SESMT after the completion of traffic plan training (theoretical) and, if necessary, considering practical testing of the driver. SESMT may require practical testing at any time based on the observation of unsafe acts by the driver or work team. WARNING: For the operation of equipment

that requires operator qualification (crane, forklift, etc.), the operator must be qualified and authorized according to the current legislation and undergo specific training and testing.
